Biography

Julia Vandepolder received an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree from the School of Fine Art and Music at the University of Guelph. Vandepolder completed a month long international residency program at the historic Vermont Studio Centre campus and received an artist grant for her painting studio. She has exhibited at numerous public and private galleries nationally including Toronto, Vancouver and Halifax. Her work was selected as a finalist for the inaugural Salt Spring National Art Prize in British Columbia. She is the recipient of many awards and grants including Best in Show, Elora Arts Council Award , Ellen Langlands Award  and an Emerging Artist Grant from the OAC. Her paintings are held in private and corporate collections, including Wellington County Museum and Archives and BMO Financial Group.
